Victorians at Sea: Calm Session Workshop

Education workshop suitable for children working at Key Stage 1 or 2, with SEN, or who would benefit from a quieter session

Discover what Victorian passengers travelling on the SS Great Britain did to keep themselves busy on the long voyages to and from Australia. Have a go at writing with a dip pen and ink, play with Victorian toys and optical illusions, handle replica objects and dress up as a Victorian passenger.

This session has a reduced capacity of a maximum of 20 people. Our Quiet Room next to the classroom will be available throughout the session for those needing a break.

Price: £3 per participating child, £1 per non-participating child and adults free. Due to room capacity, everyone coming into the workshop must have a workshop ticket, including non-participating children and accompanying adults.

Times: 11:45am

Duration: 50mins

Location: Medlock classroom, Dockyard Museum
